How to use the Ganadi Mac app, including free features, Collection purchases, installation and updates.
What you can try today
Download the Mac app to start with Momo and the free features. Preview basic movements for all 11 dogs in your browser. Selecting a dog here does not purchase a collection or grant ownership in the Mac app.
Free features and the collection
Momo, basic reactions, and level and companion-day rewards are free. The Collection is a US$3.90 one-time purchase that unlocks 10 additional breeds. Each dog unlocks more behaviors through growth. There is no subscription or recurring renewal charge. Review taxes and the final total in the Lemon Squeezy checkout. Choosing the optional “Buy the developer a coffee” adds US$1.90, for a total of US$5.80. The included dogs, license duration and number of permitted Macs are the same.
Using Ganadi on a Mac
The current download supports Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. Open the DMG, drag Ganadi into Applications, and launch it. Typing reactions in other apps require Accessibility permission, which you can grant or revoke yourself. The direct-download app is Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple.
Keyboard connection and overlay
Enable typing reactions in other apps in Ganadi, then allow Ganadi under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Enable the desktop overlay to show your dog and its keyboard, and drag the dog to move it. Use the paw icon in the Mac menu bar to choose a dog, change its size, control reactions and open settings.
App updates
By default, Ganadi checks for a new version once a day. Choose Check for Updates… from the menu to check manually, or disable automatic checks in Settings. You choose whether to download and install an offered update. The website’s download button always points to the latest public release.
Progress and reinstalling
Each dog has its own level and companion days; the dog currently with you earns progress. Preferences and progress are stored on that Mac, without device sync or server backup. Back up any records you want to keep before resetting your Mac or deleting app data. Reinstalling the application file and deleting progress are separate actions.
Collection sales
Lemon Squeezy processes Collection purchases for the website-distributed app. After purchase, activate the license key from your receipt email in the Collection screen of the latest Mac app. Licenses have no expiry and activate 1 Mac at a time. Before moving to another Mac, choose “Deactivate this Mac” on the old Mac. If it was lost or erased, contact support with your order number for help releasing the activation. Initial activation and purchase restoration require internet access. Offline use lasts up to 7 days after the last online verification, after which verification is required again.
Purchase and refund support
Payments and refunds are subject to Lemon Squeezy’s Buyer Terms and applicable law. For duplicate charges, license delivery or activation problems, or refund requests, email [email protected] with your order number and a description. Do not send your complete license key or card number. This notice does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
Support and bug reports
Please include your app version, macOS version and what happened. You do not need to send anything you typed or any passwords.
