Mac App Store Privacy Policy

Last updated ·

This policy applies to the Ganadi app distributed through the Mac App Store.

Data collected by the app

Ganadi is a desktop companion that requires no app account. Typing reactions and growth records are processed on your Mac. Starting with Mac App Store version 1.0.5 (10), RevenueCat is used to verify and analyze purchase records and provide purchase support. The app has no ads, advertising tracking, screen recording, general usage analytics SDK or crash-reporting SDK.

Keyboard reactions and Input Monitoring

If you allow reactions to typing in other apps, Ganadi uses macOS Input Monitoring permission. It processes physical key categories and counts on your device without reading and recording the text typed in other apps. Text entered in the app’s typing demo is not saved or sent. You can turn off keyboard reactions in the app or revoke permission in macOS System Settings.

Local records and deletion

Your selected dog and its name, input counts, level, treats and condition, companion days, unlocked rewards, and preferences such as language and size are stored in the app’s data folder on your Mac. There is no developer server storage or device-to-device sync. Records remain until you delete the local app data; deleting the application alone may leave records in place. Deleting records resets your progress, and there is no developer server copy to restore. Contact us below for help removing local records.

Apple purchases and restores

Collection purchases and restores use Apple StoreKit, and the app checks Apple-verified purchase entitlements. Purchase records are also sent to RevenueCat as described below. Neither the app nor its developer receives payment card numbers or Apple Account login details. The Mac App Store handles installation and updates. Apple’s privacy policy applies to information Apple processes for payments and App Store services.

RevenueCat purchase information

RevenueCat, Inc. processes a randomly generated app user ID, product and transaction identifiers, receipts or transaction information, purchase and refund status, price and currency, technical app and OS information, and connection timestamps for purchase verification, analytics, refund updates and support. Storefront, locale and currency information may also be processed; network connections expose an IP address. The app does not send your name, email, advertising identifiers, typed text, input counts, dog names or growth records. RevenueCat and its service providers may process this information in the United States. Records are retained as needed for continued purchase access, restoration and support; information required for legal obligations or disputes may be retained separately. Contact us below to request access, correction or deletion. If you choose to include your purchase support ID in an email, that email can be associated with the purchase record. Deleting records is not an Apple purchase cancellation or refund; restoring a purchase may recreate necessary records.

Email support

If you separately email us, we receive your sender address, message and any files you choose to attach to answer your question and investigate the issue. Email passes through Cloudflare Email Routing and Google’s email service. Please omit passwords, card numbers and screenshots containing sensitive information. You may request deletion of support material.

This policy page and changes

Cloudflare hosts this policy page. When you visit it, Cloudflare may process technical logs such as IP addresses and request information to deliver the page, as well as visit statistics. This is separate from data sent by the Mac app. We will update this policy and its revision date when the app’s data handling changes.
